Oh, the humanity

My Yahoo Canada home page is carrying a news blurt tonight about a couple who got lost on a ski trip and died, whose giant SOS in the snow was ignored by helicopters. The headline about this tragedy is accompanied by a photo of a giant SOS in the snow. So, either some sick bastard made a point of photographing the original of this heartbreaking message, or some other sick bastard faked it. I don't know which one disturbs me more. It's the reality TV version of every horror movie ever made. Why do we want to watch this?
